Author's Note II: This is for vespertinesoul request for its_always_been VDay gift exchange who asked for: Tony and Pepper have to go into hiding because of a villain taking over SHIELD HQ, and also working their way into the government. Remaining SHIELD agents/heroes also go into hiding, but the story focuses on Tony and Pepper's side of the story.
Summary: For all that Tony is by far the more experienced of the two of us, he seems almost hesitant to take things a step further. Instead, it feels as if he’s waiting for my next move before making one of his own.
